Change Your Scenery 12/22/18

Last night I saw a commercial with video of a dog sled.  The narrator made a great quote, perhaps you’ve heard it.  “Unless you’re in the lead, the scenery never changes”.  Take a moment to visualize this... Yes, now you get the picture, if you aren’t the lead dog all you will ever see is ......

How do you change your view and perspective, change your position.  Step out, do something different, don’t follow the status quo.  Don’t think outside the box, blow it up so you have no restrictions on what you can think or do.

If you’re like many people, the next few days will be jam packed with shopping, services, and gatherings.  All can be draining and fulfilling at the same time.  My challenge to you today is to plan ahead for the day when things calm down and you can find some quiet time to sit and reflect over the past year.  If you have a journal flip through it to prompt your memory.  Celebrate the successes of the year, evaluate the “learning experiences” (you always learn if you evaluate what some might call failures or mistakes).  Now put the past where it belongs, in the past.  Get out your calendar and look to the future.  Plan time for family and friends, put those times on the calendar now.  Plan time for yourself as well.  Take what you’ve learned from the past and be purposeful about planning your future.

Remember the reason for the season and from where our true blessings come. Be blessed my friends, be very blessed.
